When chatting with many friends, I found that most people have mistaken ideas about quality management: they have repeatedly stressed the importance of inspection.

But in fact, the key point of quality control is not the inspection of goods, but the control of the quality of products in the process of raw materials and production.

To do a good job in quality management, it is actually two points:

1. According to the characteristics of their own industries and products, formulate a standard quality management process.

2. The QC and SOHO of the trading company strictly follow this process and carry it out in the actual work.

Although it is very simple to say, in practice, many companies find it difficult to strictly implement it for various reasons.

This is also the main reason why many times the quality of products has problems.

Q: Quality Control of Samples by Trading Companies or SOHO A: The importance of samples is self-evident, and the quality of samples often directly determines whether this order can be taken.
The control process of sample quality is as follows: (Not necessarily suitable for all industries, you can learn about it in combination with your own products) 1. When the salesman gets the sample drawings, he will first confirm the drawings with the plate maker to see if there is any problem, and whether there is any potential risk or impossible process when developing the samples.

As a competent and experienced board maker, it is easy to find out whether there is any problem with this product.

However, most of the time, if you don’t ask, the master will not directly tell you that there is something wrong with the design, but will directly change the drawings in the process of making samples.

As a salesman or QC, it is often only after the samples are made that it is found that the samples do not match the design of the guests. At this time, the time to hand in the samples has also arrived, adding a lot of trouble.

Therefore, it is necessary to confirm with the supplier proofing master whether there is any problem before the template is made.

If there is a problem or the process cannot be realized, communicate the problem with the guest at the first time, and then revise it after obtaining the guest’s consent.

2. After the details of the sample are confirmed, the sample master must not make any changes for granted during the process of making the sample.

If you really want to change, you must inform the relevant personnel of the trading company.

In fact, this is somewhat similar to point 1. Many teachers will change the design at will according to empiricism, even if this does not involve product risks, but only habitually do it according to experience.

Therefore, both trading companies and SOHO should put this point in black and white before cooperating with suppliers.

3. QC or SOHO of the trading company needs to check the quality at the semi-finished proofing stage.

If you can’t go to the supplier in person, you should also ask the relevant personnel of the factory to take photos and send them to us at any time during the process of making samples. Once the problem is found, change it immediately.

This is actually very convenient to do according to the procedure and will not take up much time.

4. After the sample is completed, no matter what the situation is, the quality of the sample must be checked.

Ensure that the quality of all samples is consistent with the product design and the customer’s requirements, and send the samples to the customer without any problems.

Once the quality problem is found, if it is a serious quality problem, it is better not to send the sample or postpone sending the sample, rework or redo it immediately, or send it directly without paying attention.

If it is a minor quality problem, it will not cause great dislike to the guests, and if the delivery time of the samples is very urgent, the samples can be sent first.

In a word, it still depends on the situation. If the guest is relatively tolerant, you can do it this way. Otherwise, you still have to rework or sample again honestly.

At the same time, take photos in advance and email them to the guests to explain the quality problem, and promise that this problem will not occur again in the subsequent proofing or production process.

If there is still time for the samples to be delivered, no matter what the problem is, the samples must be reworked or re-made.

5. When making samples, it is better to send one more sample to the guest. After the guest confirms, the guest is required to sign back a sample as the production sample of the bulk goods.

If it is not convenient for the guest to sign back, then make an extra one to stay in the sample room. Once the guest confirms the sample, the bottom sample will be taken as the standard sample for mass production.

If the value of the product is high, or the process is complicated, and it is uncertain whether the customer will place an order, is it not better to make one?

In this case, the salesman or the merchandiser must take detailed photos before sending out the samples as a copy.

In this way, in addition to ensuring that there are standard samples for mass production, another purpose is that once the guests have feedback on the samples, you can immediately take out the samples or photos for comparison.

Q: Supplier’s Quality Control of Large Goods A: Establish a quality management system for mass production;

1. Prenatal meetings:

Once the order is confirmed and the sample is confirmed, the general factory will hold a prenatal meeting before putting into production.

Trading companies or SOHO may request suppliers to cooperate in sending the minutes of the prenatal meeting to confirm that there is no problem with the approval before mass production.

If necessary, trading companies or SOHO can attend the meeting.

Of course, many factories may not hold antenatal meetings, especially some smaller factories.

If the factory does not have the record of the pre-production meeting, the company should clearly list the important points of the product quality requirements in the form of documents and send them to the factory for confirmation before mass production.

2. Interim inspection:

Whether it’s QC from a trading company or SOHO, if it’s a new product or a new style, it must be inspected in the interim.

Even the mid-term inspection is more important than the final final inspection.

Because in many cases, once the quality problem is found in the final inspection, whether it is rework or rework, one may cause delay in the delivery period, and the other is a significant increase in cost.

Therefore, the quality problem is best solved at the beginning of production, which is also the greatest significance of medium-term inspection.

QC or SOHO can go to the factory to see the production of large goods in the middle of production. Once quality problems are found, they can immediately request the factory to improve.

If there is really no condition to go to the factory to inspect the goods, especially SOHO, there may be various reasons that cannot be passed.

You can get the factory’s production schedule in advance, and then ask the factory to provide their interim inspection report in the process of mass production.

3. Final inspection:
