This matter deeply touched me! So far, it is the most profound scene in my memory. Let me realize that even in an exhibition with such good traffic and orders, if my own strength is not enough, I can’t get customers’ approval and respect just by price and flattery. I am determined to sell the best products in China and make the dignity of Chinese people! I have always believed that a large part of the internal problems of enterprises are strategic problems in the final analysis. Looking back 15 years ago, foreign traders did not have so many complaints. Because it was an era of foreign trade dividends, entering the foreign trade industry was a correct strategic choice. At that time, foreign trade was booming and growing at an alarming rate. Under the impetus of such a torrent of foreign trade, even if you follow the crowd, you can achieve natural growth.
However, the external environment of the foreign trade industry has long been completely different. At present, supply far exceeds demand:
1) The cost of manufacturing in China is getting higher and higher. Many European and American buyers have already started to place orders in Southeast Asia with lower manufacturing costs, such as Vietnam and Indonesia.
2) The rise of e-commerce has diverted many orders from offline to online.
3) profound changes have taken place in the industry value chain. Now many Chinese enterprises have taken the initiative to go overseas to do localization marketing. Many orders have been intercepted abroad.
The current trade war launched by the United States has further aggravated the sluggish foreign trade situation. The essence of this trade war launched by the United States is that the two factions of the American elite, one of which is the financial capital represented by Wall Street, are moving their manufacturing out of China and into Southeast Asia, where they have already laid out their plans and are waiting for harvest. The other faction wants to move Chinese manufacturing back to the United States. The so-called “let the United States great again” to achieve their political goals is to prevent China from having a good life anyway.
Four New Capabilities of Foreign Trade Under such circumstances, foreign trade enterprises need to have four new types of capabilities to survive and develop.
Capacity One: New Manufacturing Capacity. The new type of manufacturing capability I am talking about includes two types:
The first is the scientific and technological manufacturing capability of lean production. That is, revolutionary mass production and manufacturing capability to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
The second is the flexible production and manufacturing capacity that can meet the needs of diversified and fragmented markets.
Capacity 2: R&D and upgrading capability. Is the ability to develop new products that originate from the pain points of users’ core needs. Product power itself has a lot of energy, so an enterprise with the ability to research and develop new products is an enterprise with strong market appeal.
Ability 3: brand and channel internationalization ability. Is to have an international perspective, ability and determination to go to the target market and find the customers behind the existing customers. In fact, it is to transform itself into a new generation of Chinese multinational enterprises capable of brand internationalization and channel internationalization.
Ability 4: Digital marketing ability. It is the ability to use community, community, social media, e-commerce and other tools to build channels for overall marketing in the digital world.
In the next five years, only enterprises with at least one of the above four abilities can survive. Only those who master more than one ability can live well. The rest of the enterprises can only endure and wait hard, eventually being eliminated by the market.
